JAKE HUMPHREY
Broadcaster Jake Humphrey is one the UK’s leading sports broadcasters, having covered every major international sporting event, from the Commonwealth Games to the World Cup.
In 2020, Jake launched The High Performance Podcast with organisational psychologist Professor Damian Hughes. They speak to high performers across sport, business and arts on what non-negotiable behaviours they’ve employed to get them to the top and keep them there. Now on its third series, the podcast has been listened to in over 50 countries. It was a UK Number 1 podcast in sport and business.
Starting out in children’s TV hosting shows including Fame Academy and Newsround, Jake has gone on to front popular sports programmes such as Football Focus, Score, Final Score and Match of the Day for the BBC – becoming the youngest presenter to host all four.
A huge sporting fan and Norwich City supporter, Jake joined BT Sport in 2013 as their lead football anchor presenting Premier League and FA Cup coverage. In 2015, he extended his role to also present Champions League and Europa League games. Jake also fronts BT Sport’s studio show, Premier League Tonight.
With an incredible talent for live sports broadcasting and all the challenges it brings, Jake’s credentials also include the 2012 Summer Olympics coverage, BBC’s Formula 1 coverage and BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
When he’s not in front of the camera, Jake is an executive of Whisper Films, which he co-founded in 2010. Whisper Films has gone on to become one of the fastest-growing production companies in the UK with award-winning productions including award-winning Formula 1 coverage for Channel 4, NFL show for the BBC and the US Open coverage on Amazon Prime.
A Patron for Break Children’s Charity, an Ambassador for CLIC Sargent and a Trustee of the Norwich City Community Sport Foundation, Jake lives in Norwich with his wife and two children.
