Ian Wright, MBE

A true football legend, Ian Wright played for England, Arsenal and Crystal Palace. With 33 England caps, 185 goals for Arsenal and 117 goals for Crystal Palace, Ian is one of the UK’s all time leading goal scorers. He’s lifted the Premier League title, The FA Cup, the European Cup Winners’ Cup and won the Premier League golden boot.

Since retiring from football, Ian Wright has firmly established himself as one of the most respected and knowledgeable football pundits in the UK. With regular slots on BBC, ITV and Premier League TV, Ian Wright is the ‘footballer’s hero’ and a legend to many.

In September 2019, Ian became an ambassador for Barclays Women’s Super League; promoting the game, the grassroots work Barclays is doing.

Ian is currently working with Specsavers encouraging people to take better care of their eye health and get regular checks.

In early 2020, Ian was castaway on Desert Island Discs. The emotional story of his life made a huge impact, trending number 1 on Twitter and became the most listened to podcast in the UK that week.

Ian appeared as a commentator on BBC throughout the Women’s Euros 2022 which had a total TV reach of 27.4m.
